Join us for this special opportunity to experience the forest and forestry from two unique perspectives: forestry and wildlife biology! Esteemed member of our board, Mary Ann Buenzow, and her husband Brian will co-lead a special forest exploration that draws from their combined six decades of experience as forester (Mary Ann) and wildlife biologist (Brian) for the Wisconsin DNR. The hike will include wisdom and insight into sustainable forest management in Wisconsin. Participants will learn tips for identifying trees, plants, and birds. Enjoy stories about Wisconsin’s wildlife, and learn what it's like to have a green career in forestry while you explore the Forest and adjacent habitats. Appropriate for all ages. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome.
